Medium telephoto prime lens 로 먼거리의 피사체(인물, 풍경 등)의 19°를 넘지 않는 시야각이 필요한 일반 사진을 촬영하는 데 적합하다.

 

이 렌즈는  all-around 에 유용한 망원 렌즈 중 하나다. 50mm 표준렌즈와 비교했을 때, 같은 거리에서 물체를 거의 3배 더 크게 렌더링 된다.  이 렌즈를 사용하면 먼 지점에서 스냅샷을 찍을 수 있다.  먼 거리의 풍경과 목적물의 일부를 촬영하고, 좁은 시야각이 필요한 풍경, 초상화 및 스냅샷을 촬영하기 위한 tele-objective 렌즈다.
